Custom diagnosis

I quote once I understand the project.

I quote once I have seen your goals, your content and your constraints. The sites already live are below, with their addresses.

The starting price

$500That is where a website starts.

A single amount, payable in one, two or three instalments. The price depends on what the site has to do, and it is set after a call. The ones already answering at their own address are below: you can go and see what the money buys before you write to me.

Included every time

  • The site becomes yours once the final instalment clears, which is also when it goes live: the domain, your content and the pages written for you.
  • Delivery in 7 to 14 days, counted from when I have your text and images.
  • Launch, DNS and HTTPS configuration.
  • SEO groundwork: titles, metadata, structured data, speed and mobile.
  • A working form that lands in your inbox.
  • A handover guide: what each section does and how to ask me for a change.
  • 30 days of free corrections after launch.

What pushes the amount up

  • The number of real pages, not sections of one page.
  • Copywriting, if I have to write your text rather than lay it out.
  • A second language, written rather than machine-translated.
  • An online store, with its products and its payments.
  • Photography, if you have none. I do not run shoots: I tell you which images are missing.

$30 / year

Domain name, in your name

$18 / month

Managed hosting. The first months are on me.

Those are the only two costs that come back. Nothing else renews.

The four hosting plans

The plan is chosen after launch, once we know how often the site actually changes, and it moves up or down month to month at no cost. Most showcase sites stay on Essential.

  • $18 / month

    Hosting Essential

Fast, secure hosting, continuous monitoring, analytics and basic SEO tracking.

  • $35 / month

    Hosting Adjustments

Everything in Essential, plus up to 2 hours of changes a month and stronger SEO.

  • $49 / month

    Hosting Evolution

Everything in Adjustments, plus up to 4 hours of major changes a month and performance reports.

  • $69 / month

    Hosting Growth

Everything in Evolution, plus redesign, rebranding, infrastructure changes and advanced analytics.

No minimum commitment and no exit fee, on any tier. Thirty days notice either way, and that is all.

Web presence check

I run your site, your Google listing and your social pages through an AI-assisted review, then hand you what is missing and where to start. The list is yours, whether you carry on with me or without me.

It looks at what the public sees. To find where AI would save time inside your own workflow, that is the SMB AI audit. See the SMB AI audit

Request the check
  • Payable in 1, 2 or 3 instalments, at no extra cost.
  • You sign off on the site before the final instalment.
  • The price quoted is the final price. It changes only if you add something, and you will have approved it in writing first.
  • No mandatory subscription, no twelve-month lock-in, no exit fee.

Yours gets quoted after five questions.

A clinic and a garage do not carry the same risk. I would rather quote after seeing what you sell, and five questions are enough to place yours.

What does a small-business website cost in Quebec?

It is the first question people ask, and the answer is right above: a site starts at $500. What follows explains what moves that number, so you can place your own before you even write to me.

Most people who land here assume a website starts in the thousands. That is what you are left to imagine by the agencies that publish no price at all. I surveyed 30 Quebec agency sites in July 2026: of the ones publishing a starting price, none started lower than mine. I would rather show mine and let you judge.

What makes the price move

The number of pages

A five-page site and a twenty-five-page site do not require the same structure, writing and testing work. It is the most direct factor on the final amount.

The content you already have

If your copy, photos and logo are ready, the project moves fast. If everything has to be written from a conversation, the writing becomes a large part of the mandate.

Bilingual content

An English version that is written rather than machine-translated doubles the content volume and adds language tag management. It is only worth it if you genuinely have English-speaking clients.

Integrations

Each connection needs development and testing, so each one is quoted separately: a form, appointment or reservation booking, online payment, a link to accounting software or a CRM.

Selling online

A catalogue with inventory, taxes, shipping calculation and payment has nothing in common with a brochure site. It is the largest difference in scope on this list.

SEO work

Setting the base tags and structured data is part of the build. A local SEO mandate, with pages per city and monthly follow-up, is quoted separately.

Maintenance after launch

A site left unattended costs more to take back over two years later. The monthly mandate is decided at quote time rather than once the problem has arrived.

The timeline

The normal timeline is 7 to 14 days depending on content. A tighter deadline means reorganizing other mandates, and that shows in the quote.

What a quote adds on top of the starting figure

$500 is a real starting point, not bait. Depending on the number of pages, the copywriting and the integrations, your project can stay close to it or climb above it, and the only way to know is to look at your content and what you want the site to do.

A twenty-minute call is enough, and you leave with a firm figure and a written scope you can compare elsewhere. Nothing gets added afterwards without being accepted in writing. The call and the quote are not billed.

What to have ready before asking for a quote

You do not need all of this to talk to me, but the more of the list you have, the more precise and faster the quote will be.

The address of your current site

If you have one. It is what lets me say whether a redesign is enough or whether it is better to restart from the structure.

Your services in order of profitability

Not in alphabetical order. What earns the most should take the most space on the site.

The cities you genuinely serve

Serving the whole province and serving Sherbrooke, Magog and Coaticook do not produce the same pages or the same local SEO work.

Your three most frequent client questions

The ones you repeat on the phone every week. They almost always become the most useful sections of the future site.

The content you already own

Copy, recent photos, logo in vector format. This is the single biggest influence on the delivery timeline.

Two or three sites you find clear

With the reason why. Knowing what you like avoids two rounds of corrections on the mockup.

Your real deadline and what drives it

An opening, a season, a trade show. A date tied to an event is planned differently from an approximate one.

What you think you can put into it

You have my figures before I ask for yours, so the question is not a trap. It scopes the work; it does not push the price up.

What a quote does not cover

These costs exist in almost every web project. They appear separately so you know exactly what you are paying for, and to whom.

The recurring costs

The domain at $30 a year and managed hosting at $18 a month sit outside the launch fee. They are listed separately so you know what is one-time and what comes back every month.

Professional photography

I do not run photo shoots. I tell you which images are missing and you hire a photographer in your area.

Advertising budgets

Google Ads, Meta or local placements: those budgets are paid directly to the platforms and do not go through me.

Stock image licences

If a paid photo is needed, the licence is bought in your name and appears separately in the breakdown.

Third-party subscriptions

Payment gateway, booking tool, email sending service: their monthly fees stay separate from the mandate.

Common questions about pricing and quotes

A site at $500: is that a template?

No. Every site delivered is hand-coded, with no page builder and no purchased theme. The price holds because I work alone: no middleman, no team to carry between mandates, no advertising budget to fund. Go and look at praescientia.ca, recyctech.ca and ufdp.ca, then compare: across the 30 Quebec agency sites I surveyed in July 2026, not one that published a starting price started lower than mine.

Is the quote free?

Yes. The scoping call and the written quote are not billed. You keep the document and the detailed scope even if you decide not to go further.

Do I pay everything at once?

No. Payment is spread across the project, and the terms are written into the quote before any work starts. No amount appears mid-project without being accepted first.

Does a redesign cost less than a new site?

Often yes, because part of the content and structure already exists and can be reused. But if the current site was built on a closed platform where nothing transfers, the gap narrows. Send me the address and I will tell you before quoting anything.

Is hosting included in the price?

No, it is separate and recurring: $18 a month for managed hosting, and $30 a year for the domain. The first months of hosting are on me. The domain is registered in your name and you can leave with it, on 30 days’ notice by email.

How long before I receive the quote?

Usually a few business days after the scoping call, the time needed to verify the technical points of your project. If something requires a longer check, I say so rather than sending an approximate figure.

Do you work outside Sherbrooke?

Yes. The base is in Sherbrooke and mandates run across Quebec. I come to you if you are in the region; elsewhere we talk by video call.
